Ibi virtus laudatur et auget dum vita coronantur

Hello, everybody.
My knowledge of Latin is really limited, but I've come across this Latin phrase I have to translate, so I could use all the help anyone can offer. It's from the latest book by Arturo Pérez Reverte, "Hombres Buenos".
