"To ask" in classical Latin

I mean "to ask" as in a question or inquiry not "to request".

Which is the best choice/most common?(Or maybe there are more?)

1.Rogare
2.Interrogare
3.Quaerere
4.Requirere (not sure about this one,but I think I recall seeing it used as "ask")
