"Qui iam antea per decennium et eo amplius a pio adhuc vivent patre tocius monasterii curam susceperat"

Hi, I'm new to this forum, I only have some notions of Latin that do not allow me to accurately translate this from Latin into English...

The "qui" refers to a certain Iohannes who was elected prior of a certain monastery. The "pater" was his predecessor.

I imagine this sentence could be translated as "Who had already received the care of the whole monastery for more than ten years...
