Hi! Concerning classical Latin only (not vulgar, late Latin), we have the word sub, that means under. Sub seems to mean under in the vicinity, close by, sub Monte, at the feet of the mount.
Questiopn: What is the Latin word that means also under but not in the vicinity (not at the feet of something)? This would be a word comparing the level of the observer with the (lower) level of something far away.
Any advice is welcome.![Smile :) :)]()
